Seismic Assessments

CP&A has experience performing structural seismic assessment of large metal forming machines. This was required for compliance with code requirements. AISC 7-10 chapter 13 - Seismic design of non-structural components specifically section 13.2.1.2A.

Generally for these projects CP&A performs the following scope:

• Check primary structure and connections were checked for strength during an earthquake.

• Analyze stability of any moving components including transfer trollies.

• Summary of seismic loads that will be transmitted to the foundation.
